He was awarded the Peter Ryan prize for surgical research (2019), exploring the role of Stem cells with Bio-fabrication for Tissue Regeneration. He co-holds a patent on novel cell harvesting technology.
He has also been an Authorised prescriber for over 2 years, with a keen interest in treating chronic conditions using alternative therapy.

Since completing her nursing degree in New Zealand in 2007, she has worked across rural and community health settings in Victoria and holds postgraduate qualifications in public health, mental health nursing, and a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner). Nomusa takes a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to care, with a focus on Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. Currently based in Bendigo, she works across community health, correctional facilities, and residential detox, and was recognised by Drug and Alcohol Nurses Australasia for mentoring trainee nurses. She is committed to collaborative care and professional development, with a strong interest in supporting women from Zimbabwean backgrounds.
